  • Suitable for large, sustainable, long term gamified experiences.

  • 1) Determine your vision, goals and objectives, etc.
  • 2) Determine if gamification is right for your problem/opportunity
  • 3) Conduct player profiling
  • 4) Build a player journey filled with appropriate and engaging mechanics and dynamics using relevant technologies and ludic devices.
  • 5) Playtest  and iterate
  • 6) Launch
  • 7) Analysis and Iteration as many times as required

  • Suitable for short to medium term gamified experiences that are engaging and memorable but not necessarily sustainable in the long run.
  • Examples: Marketing, Events, Learning and Development, etc.

  • 3) Conduct player profiling

Quality Assurance / Gamification Audit

We provide a quality assurance service to assist you as you build your own gamified experience.

We critique your build based on either your own strategic model or ours. We play-test your build to help you identify potential problems and find new opportunities. Building a gamified experience is hard work, we know! Don’t do it alone, let us help you create that unforgettable experience

Duration: 1 – 3 weeks depending on level of testing and critique required and the level of experience of your gamification build team.

  • 1) You provide us with all relevant design documents and implementation plans
  • 2) You provide us with your background strategic thinking
  • 3) You provide us with your gamification model, OR, agree to use ours as a benchmark
  • 4) We conduct an analysis to the level you require

  • Audits can usually be done virtually, making this a cheap, global option

Frequently Asked Questions

To what can gamification be applied?

Everything… well potentially everything. Gamification is typically used as an overlay upon an existing product, service, training, etc. However, you can also build a product or service with gamification right from the beginning, although this does require more effort, dedication, and a slightly higher appetite for risk.

What sort of resources are required?

Gamification has a design side and an implementation (production) side much like a movie. Both sides are informed by your strategy. On the design side you will need access to creatives such as graphic designers, illustrators, musicians, etc. On the production side, management support in the form of finance, marketing, human resources, etc. The cost of a gamified experience build will largely depend on the size and scope of your intended project. In order to manage costs, we usually adopt “a pilot first” approach and don’t move forward unless we can demonstrate impact. Prototyping and piloting is just common sense to us.

Does gamification need to be high-tech?

Absolutely NOT! While many examples of gamification are high-tech, successful gamified expereinces can be built using a high-tech, low-tech approach, or hybrid approach. The use of technology is normally determined as your strategy is being built and is also dependent on your access to resources. You can create a successful gamified experience on paper if needed.

Can small businesses / start-ups benefit?

Based in South Africa but available internationally, we love working across different industries. However on moral grounds we don’t work with the following industries: Alcoholic beverages, smoking, gambling, adult entertainment, and certain foods. Any military or defense related consulting will be considered on a case by case basis.
